Delete Your Data
UpCanyon — published by UpCanyon LLC on the App Store and Google Play.
Last updated: August 2026
UpCanyon has no user accounts, so there is no account to close. The App holds only two kinds of data, and you can delete both — in the App or with one email.
Delete everything in the App (fastest)
- Open UpCanyon and go to Account → Account Actions.
- Tap "Reset app data." This permanently erases everything stored on your device: preferences, pinned spots, lists, home spot, and trial state.
- If you created alerts, delete them (or turn off alert channels) before resetting — that removes the matching server-side records automatically.
Or request deletion by email
Email hello@upcanyon.app with the subject "Data deletion request." No proof of identity is needed — server data is keyed to an anonymous install ID, not to your name or email. We complete deletion requests within 30 days (usually much faster) and confirm by reply.
What is deleted, what is kept
| Data | Where it lives | On deletion |
|---|---|---|
| Preferences, pinned spots, lists, home spot, trial state | Your device only | Erased immediately by "Reset app data" (or by uninstalling the App) |
| Alert rules and the pinned spots they watch | Our servers (only if you enabled alerts) | Deleted when you delete the alerts, or on email request |
| Anonymous install ID and push notification token | Our servers (only if you enabled alerts) | Deleted on request; dead push tokens are purged automatically |
| Crash reports (Sentry) | Sentry, anonymized | Age out automatically; you can opt out in Account → Notifications & Privacy |
| Purchase records | Apple, Google, and RevenueCat | Retained by those platforms per their policies (required for refunds and restoring purchases); we never see payment details |
| Support emails | Our inbox | Kept up to 2 years for follow-up, deleted sooner on request |
Details on everything above are in our Privacy Policy.
